Wake up and smell the coffee...

Category: Blog

As the wonderful aroma of your freshly brewed coffee permeates the morning air, and the fog starts to lift as you relish that first reviving cup, do you ever stop to wonder about the journey those dark grounds have taken, before they reached prime position in your kitchen? Perhaps now is the time...

Coffee has played a remarkable role in the evolution of modern society. Its roots extend centuries and reach across the entire world. The modern industry plays a major role in economics and globalisation and the plight of the 3rd World. It is the second most traded commodity behind oil.

This Blog will also be a forum to share some of these tales and investigate the journey from the 16th century to the 21st century and from the tree to your cup! And, hopefully we’ll be able to shed new light on those dark grounds as they swirl and settle in your morning cuppa. They’ve come a long way you know!

Good coffee is the reason Gerard gets out of bed in the morning. He lives and breathes coffee, and believes himself blessed to have such aromatic and delicious good fortune.
